RULES & LIABILITY POLICY

The Jewish Veterans Network (“JVN,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to providing a safe environment for veterans and their families at all events and activities, whether held on-premises, off-site, or in digital spaces.
This Rules & Liability Policy outlines the standards of conduct and responsibilities expected of all participants, including staff, volunteers, attendees, and guests. By attending, participating in, or otherwise engaging with JVN events or programs, whether in person or online, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions set forth in this Policy.
1. Code of Conduct
All participants are expected to:

Treat all staff, volunteers, attendees, and guests with respect and courtesy.

Refrain from disruptive, discriminatory, or harassing behavior.

Comply with all event rules, instructions from staff, and posted signage.

Refrain from possession or use of illegal substances and weapons.

Underage drinking is strictly prohibited.

Adults are responsible for supervising any children in their party at all times.
2. Participant Responsibilities

Provide accurate information when registering for events.

Ensure that any guests or minors under your care follow all rules and guidelines.

Attend events at your own discretion and ensure personal readiness for participation.
3. Health & Safety

Participants should notify JVN staff of any medical conditions or special needs in advance.

Safety instructions must be followed at all times.

JVN is not responsible for personal injuries sustained due to failure to follow instructions or personal negligence.

A pool is available on the premises. While a lifeguard may be present at some events, all swimming is at your own risk.
4. Liability Waiver / Assumption of Risk

By attending JVN events, participants acknowledge inherent risks in certain activities.

Participants assume all responsibility for any injuries, loss, or damage incurred during or as a result of participation.

JVN, its staff, volunteers, and agents are released from any liability to the fullest extent permitted by law.
5. Media & Photography Consent

JVN may photograph or record events for promotional or educational purposes.

By participating, you consent to the use of your image or likeness unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
6. Emergency Procedures

Participants must follow all emergency protocols communicated by JVN staff.

In case of an emergency, participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their party.
7. Prohibited Conduct / Items

Illegal drugs, weapons, or any items deemed unsafe or inappropriate by JVN staff are prohibited.

Harassment, verbal abuse, or aggressive behavior will not be tolerated.

Non-compliance may result in removal from the event without refund or further participation privileges.
8. Transportation & Off-Site Activities

Participants traveling to and from events are responsible for their own transportation safety.

JVN is not liable for accidents or incidents occurring during transit.

Off-site activities are considered part of the event and are subject to this Policy.
9. Right to Remove or Refuse Entry

JVN reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any participant who violates this Policy, endangers others, or disrupts the event.

Such actions may be taken without prior notice and without liability to JVN.
10. Acknowledgment & Acceptance

By registering, attending, or participating in JVN events, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with this Rules & Liability Policy.

This Policy applies to all activities, on-site and off-site, and digital participation, for all members of your party.
