Our Story
At 19, Josh Warszawski was a successful entrepreneur. At 21, he was a soldier. When he returned to civilian life, he realized the greatest challenge for Jewish veterans wasn’t a lack of skill. It was a lack of a clear path to economic stability.
JVN was born to change the narrative. We moved beyond simple networking to create a comprehensive ecosystem for Jewish veterans and their families. Our philosophy is simple: Start at the roots.
By focusing on professional growth, financial acumen, strategic business development, and holistic well-being, we ensure that those who served have the foundation to become the supporters and leaders our community needs.

Josh Warszawski
Founder & Director
Josh Warszawski served and built his career in the private security sector, overseeing large-scale global operations for international companies.
With a lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and community safety, Josh brings his experience and passion to supporting veterans and their families through the mission of the organization.
Aviva Goodman
Co-Founder & COO
Aviva Goodman holds an M.Ed. from Harvard University, where she specialized in trauma-informed programming. For over a decade, she has supported mission-driven organizations, helping more than 300 nonprofits raise $55 million and lead business operations at a major online fundraising platform.
Aviva draws on her expertise in systems design, strategy, and community engagement to build meaningful support for Jewish veterans, combining compassion and innovation to create lasting impact.
Ross Den
Board Chairman
Ross Den’s professional background is in security and defense. Ross began his studies at John Jay College of Criminal Justice and later earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Security Management and Protection Management and Emergency Planning, respectively.
As a veteran who served in a Light Expeditious Assault Unit, Ross now advises domestic and foreign clients on defense and security products, training protocols, intelligence solutions, and procurement.

Shaina Ann Ishenko, MS CTA EA
Financial & Tax Advisor
Shaina serves as an advisor to the organization, bringing more than 17 years of experience across the tax and financial services industries. Throughout her career, she has worked with leading national tax firms as well as boutique practices serving high-net-worth individuals and families, with a focus on tax strategy, financial planning, and wealth preservation.
In her advisory role, Shaina brings a strategic and practical perspective to supporting the organization’s mission and the veterans and families it serves. She is passionate about helping mission-driven organizations build strong financial foundations, plan for long-term growth, and expand their ability to create meaningful and lasting impact in the veteran community.
Tuvia Chazin
Chairman of Outreach
Tuvia Chazin is a veteran and reservist who recently relocated to Florida after several years abroad.
With a background in business and technology, Tuvia is passionate about bringing people together, building strong networks, and creating opportunities for veterans to support one another both personally and professionally.
As he becomes part of the Florida Jewish veteran community, Tuvia is eager to help grow the network, connect veterans across different generations and industries, and strengthen the community through service, leadership, and shared purpose.
For Tuvia, veteran community is not only about staying connected to our past—it is about using our experience, skills, and relationships to continue serving and strengthening one another.
Rabbi Ken Soloway
U.S. Veteran Liaison & Spiritual Guide
Ken Soloway is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, rabbi, and senior living executive with a background rooted in service, leadership, and caring for others. His experience as a Marine gives him a firsthand understanding of military service, while his work as a rabbi has focused on strengthening Jewish connection and providing spiritual guidance and support.
Drawing on his military experience, rabbinic leadership, and professional work in senior living, Ken is committed to supporting Jewish veterans, service members, and their families. As U.S. Veteran Liaison & Spiritual Guide, he works to ensure that those who have served have a trusted resource for connection, advocacy, and spiritual support within the Jewish community.
Rabbi Alex Gottlieb
Israeli Veteran Liaison
Rabbi Alex Gottlieb is a dedicated spiritual leader and chaplain with extensive experience serving communities through guidance, counseling, and compassionate care.
He holds Rabbinical Semicha and serves as a member chaplain with the United States Chaplain Task Force, supporting veterans and their families with dignity, faith, and understanding. Rabbi Gottlieb also holds a BS in Psychology from Universidad de San Buenaventura, bringing both spiritual and emotional insight to his work within our organization.
Rachel Stern, MSW LCSW
Mental Health Coordinator
Rachel Stern is a social worker and psychotherapist providing individual, family, and group therapy services since 2019 to clients struggling with depression, anxiety, addiction, trauma, and other challenges.
With a passion for helping others reclaim their personal power and overcome emotional and psychological barriers to finding safety, happiness, and fulfillment, Rachel practices a collaborative, client-centered approach to treatment.
Shmuel Chaikin
Technical Advisor
Shmuel Chaikin, CTO of Nyman Turkish, serves as a technical advisor for the Jewish Veterans Network, helping members utilize technology in their homes and professional lives. He applies his expertise in systems architecture to ensure veterans stay connected and supported in the digital age. A devoted family man and sports enthusiast, Shmuel enjoys grilling and refining his personal tech projects.

Yehudah Efros brings 20+ years of operational experience in both the commercial and non-profit sectors.
Now working in risk management, he is excited to bring his passion and operations experience to help ensure JVN’s success.
Yaakov Weberman
Volunteer Coordinator
Yaakov Weberman served seven years in the Israeli Marines, including two as an Armed Officer. After returning to the U.S., he continued protecting and supporting the Jewish community through security and elder care.
He now serves as an Armed Security Officer and reservist, dedicated to safeguarding and strengthening Jewish life.
