Ari Leibi Hershkiwitz (June 1, 1925 – January 3, 2012)
Born in Chus, Czechoslovakia (Transylvania), Larry Hersch was a Holocaust survivor whose courage and determination shaped his extraordinary life. After enduring the hardships of the Holocaust, he joined the Irgun (Etzel), fighting for the establishment of a Jewish state in 1949. Following the disbandment of the Irgun, he served in the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) before emigrating to the United States in 1956. His life stands as a testament to resilience, dedication, and the enduring spirit of hope.
